Reeves celebrate Sports partnerships – Champagne and champions

Reeves have been proud to support GB Freeski, GB Short Track and Chemmy Alcott over the last year and to celebrate this partnership, as well as the athletes’ recent achievements, Reeves held an exclusive ‘Sports Drinks Reception’ on Wednesday 30 April in the Sky Bar at Grange St. Paul’s Hotel. Over a dozen athletes attended including Chemmy Alcott, Elise Christie (GB Short Track), Jon Eley (GB Short Track) and Katie Summerhayes (GB Freeski).

Against the panoramic views of the capital Reeves Partners and guests had the opportunity to personally meet with and hear from the special Winter Sports guests. Following an introduction to the athletes from Clive Stevens, Pat Sharples (Head Coach, GB Freeski) spoke glowingly of the support Reeves had provided the athletes and the benefits of the relationship. Jon Eley told us of GB Short Track’s experiences and Chemmy Alcott gave an insightful presentation on her personal journey, her vast competitive experience and her future plans having recently decided to retire from competitive skiing.

Following the event, Pat Sharples, Head Coach of GB Freeski commented; “Reeves believed in us, our team and our athletes at the start of what is definitely now a breakthrough time for GB Freeski with all our guys getting incredible results this year. I’m blown away by the support we’re receiving and we’re heading into next season super strong with more athletes challenging the world’s top stages. I want to thank the partners at Reeves for their support, which is so important to us boosting the GB freeskiing programme and profile so our athletes can fulfil their potential. It’s fantastic to share a great evening with everyone at Reeves and their guests who are following and supporting our success”.

Jon Eley said: “Reeves have been a fantastic support to me and the rest of the squad as we trained to compete on a global stage, culminating in a celebratory event where we were able to share our experiences from the last year. We’re truly thankful that Reeves have believed in us enough to support us up to this point and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them on behalf of the GB Short Track squad”.

Chemmy Alcott, commented; “It was fantastic to attend Reeves’ Sports Drinks Reception and meet some more people from Reeves, their guests and catch up with the other athletes that attended. I would like to thank Reeves again for all their support, it really does make a big difference, if it wasn’t for my sponsors over the years I wouldn’t have achieved my goals and be where I am today!”.

Nigel Fright, Managing Partner at Reeves comments; “It’s incredibly important for business organisations to “get behind” the country’s successful athletes. Reeves have been delighted to help support GB Freeski, GB Short Track and Chemmy Alcott with both financial and personal support over the last year and we know how much this support is valued by them”.
